Conferences of the DEFA Foundation

Between May 29 and 31, 2024 the DEFA Foundation and the University of Rostock organized the DEFA conference “Quo vadis DEFA Research? New perspectives on dealing with the film heritage of the GDR”. DEFA research was put to the test.

From May 19 to 20, 2022, a symposium on various genres of DEFA took place at the Zeughauskino Berlin. DEFA-specific genres and their particularities were presented.
