Short Summary (English)

In the Uckermark district near Schwedt, the foundations are laid for a large new plant and the forest is cleared. Schibulla, who has many years experience in the construction industry, recuits Tom Breitsprecher, whom he knows and respects. The two have worked together in the past. Tom is a well versed constructional engineer, but rather arrogant, superficial in his relationships with women and ironic to the unskilled young people on the building site. This behaviour does not make him very popular. Tom sets up a special course for concrete workers. The initiative ultimately came from a young woman, who is also employed on the building site. Up to now, Grit’s life has been cerefree and without any conflivts. Her husband has always tried to remove all obstacles from her path. But his situation does not satisfy her any longer. She wants recognition and would like to prove her worth. She meets Tom, whom she initially does not like at all. However, antipathy gradually turns into love. A secret love affair develops. Very soon Tom’s relationship with Grit is no secret anymore. Schibulla asks the young woman to have a frank talk about it with her husband. Grit hesitates. But when the working atmosphere becomes bad and the team is about to fall apart, she understands that her relationship with Tom is more than a private matter. Mutual trust as well as teamwork are at risk. Grit decides that honesty is he best policy.

Short Summary (Other Languages)

(Italienisch)
