Short Summary (English)
Mauritius Halbermann, nicknamed "Mauts", works as an advertising manager for Gravo-Druck, a state-owned print company Mauts, a man obsessed with his work, incessantly percolates with marvelous ideas - and now that he has once again come up with another brilliant idea, he naturally wants to present his proposal to his boss. As it happens, his supervisor along with his entire family and some of Mauts's colleagues - including Lore who Mauts secretly fancies - have gone on a holiday trip.
And to crown it all, Mauts doesn't initially realize that Teddy, an architect, is also planning to go to Aaldorp in order to celebrate his engagement to Lore.
Joining his rival, Mauts also journeys to Aaldorp; once there, he especially hopes to present his marvelous idea to his vacationing colleagues. Work-related problems, however;
are the last thing the vacationers want to discuss, they simply want to enjoy their holiday in peace and quiet. Finally, Mauts catches on and gets into the holiday swing of things, particularly since Lore greatly helps him to have days of happy vacationing.

Short Summary (German)
Der Werbechef des VEB Gravo-Druck Mauritius Halbermann - genannt Mauts - ist nicht nur arbeitsbesessen, sondern auch voller großartiger Einfälle. Als er wiederum einen solchen seinem Direktor vorstellen will, ist der im Urlaub - mit Familie und einigen Kollegen, darunter Lore, die Mauts insgeheim als seine zukünftige Frau betrachtet. Architekt Teddy indes hat die Absicht, auch ins Urlaubsparadies Aaldorp zu fahren, um sich mit Lore zu verloben. Mauts schließt sich ihm an und gedenkt, seine Pläne mit den Kollegen in Aaldorp zu beraten. Die allerdings lassen sich von ihm die Urlaubsstimmung nicht vermiesen, und nach allerlei merkwürdigen Vorkommnissen erkennt auch Mauts, dass Ferien eine schöne Sache sind - woran Lore keinen geringen Anteil hat.

Per presentare il suo ultimo progetto, decide di raggiungere col suo collega Teddy, il capo in vacanza con la famiglia. Entrambi i collaboratori hanno puntato gli occhi su Lore, la figlia del capo.
