Short Summary (English)

A rooster, cat, dog, and donkey are all growing old and must face the problem of becoming socially useless. Joining forces, they embark on a journey and start to wander the countryside and sing together. Though they are not good enough to become the Bremen town musicians, they find a purpose in life when they drive a robber out of town. Based on a Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

Short Summary (German)

Hahn, Katze, Hund und Esel werden aus unterschiedlichen Gründen im Alter heimatlos, wandern und singen gemeinsam. Dieser grausig-komische Gesang reicht zwar nicht aus, um Stadtmusikant in Bremen zu werden, immerhin aber dazu, böse Räuber zu vertreiben und in deren Haus einen friedlichen Lebensabend zu verbringen.
